Photography should be intimate.
Let photography tell your story, not only through the big moments, but in all the tiny, raw and emotional moments that happen in-between. I’m a New York City based photographer specializing in documentary style event photography, portraiture, and more.

What is documentary style photography?
Documentary style photography is all about telling a story by capturing subjects in natural settings and letting real moments unfold.
Most of us, even if we don’t know the term, have seen a photograph like this accompanying a news story or magazine article. But this style can be used for much more than to simply accompany a story; it can be used to tell that story. That’s what a documentary style photographer does: she tells the story of a day, an event, a relationship, or even a lifetime through her photographs, not only through the posed moments but through all the moments that happen in-between
Why documentary style photography for weddings & events?
Everyone wants to remember their special event, not just in perfect posed moments, but as the story of a day.
That’s my goal with documentary style wedding and event photography: to capture not only those perfect moments, but also all the imitate moments that too often go unnoticed: a wife wiping a smudge of lipstick off her husband, a mother grinning and snapping a photo of her daughter’s reflection, a couple drenched in sweat as they dance like the night will never end. I want the story from any special day or event to not only live in the hard proof that it happened, but in the emotion that accompanied it. And I want you, who’s special day it is, to look back on those photos and not remember posing for them, but remember living them.
